The Big D: Texas' Biggest Gay Community

Dallas Voice Photo - Gay Pride

Dallas has a big gay scene, making it a solid place to come for a gay holiday (or a regular holiday with a shade of gay).

Twice a year, event seekers can head there for Razzle Dazzle in June and Dallas Pride Festival & Freedom Parade in September. The rest of the year, there’s plenty to see and do of interest to LGBT travelers, especially around the local gay village.

Oak Lawn is considered to be the epicenter of Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex’s gay and lesbian culture. The neighborhood has numerous businesses, restaurants and night clubs catering to the LGBT community, including some renowned gay bars.
