No Pain No Spain

I have to re-learn Spanish (muy rustico).  Get my passport renewed.  Save for a three-city Tour de Espana.

Getting to Madrid for World Pride 2017 (June 17-25) will be worth the pain (of a long-haul flight).

I was prepped to go to Barcelona for the 1992 Olympic Games, complete with a Seiko timepiece emblazoned with the official slogan “No Pain No Spain” – but failed to get there.  I won’t forgo Spain again!

I need Spain – to check it off DeeTouring Dee’s bucket list.  I need Spain – to capture its spirit for RainbowTourism.com.  I need Spain – to compare my Sangria recipe with the best.

Deetouring Dee’s Bucket List in Espana is already growing. Among the many places worth visiting, I’m told, are Madrid’s gayborhood called Chueca in the old quarter, the vibrant coastal city of Barcelona, the idyllic Balearic region (home of Ibiza), and the Canary Islands. (Gran Canaria is one of Spain’s sizzling outposts for scorching sun, sex and sangria.) Sitges is another gay mecca, with loads of gay bars and beaches.

Like it’s fine wine, there is “so much of Spain, so little time.” Who knows, after savoring a few sangrias, I might even be up for a fiery flamenco experience.
Ole!

My pick. Learn the ins and outs of this passionate dance in a one-hour class and get then get an insider’s look from the front of the stage at the flamenco show.
