Oamura is truely the most beautiful town in the South Island, and the place I would choose to live if I could. It's a sleepy little seaside town, with quant little houses and an art gallery on almost every corner, small coffee house dotted here and there and the people are so friendly, you just don't ever want to leave. So if you are looking for the quieter more laid back type of holiday where you will be surrounded by artists of every medium, then this is the place.
