Toronto's Gay Village

Toronto – voted number 10 on the up-and-coming gay travel destination list 7 years ago – has been chosen as host city for the World Pride Event and Human Rights Conference in June 2014. Thanks to the efforts of Pride Toronto and other community groups, the international city has come a long way baby.

For all visitors, Toronto continues to move up the tourism ladder, with newly renovated restaurants, hotels and attractions. Not to mention its award-winning spas and beautiful beaches coasting the city’s waterfront and on Toronto’s Islands.

For LGBT film buffs, the largest film event of its kind in Canada is also held in Toronto, highlighting 200 films and videos from Canada and around the world. Inside Out LGBT Film Festival takes place over 11 days in May, drawing crowds of close to 35,000 to screenings, artist talks, panel discussions, installations and parties.
