Stonewall Inn - Pride banner

From coast to coast, top to bottom, and in between, there are many destinations that are gay welcoming. These places host LGBT Pride and other events that attract interstate and international visitors.

New York City, home of Stonewall and Gay St. in Greenwich Village is where the gay rights movement began.

San Francisco and Castro Street is where the first rainbow flag was created for the inaugural gay pride parade.

The East Coast has other LGBT iconic places like Fire Island. Traveling north, there’s Provincetown, MA and Ogunguit, ME, and down the Southern end of the Atlantic Coast, there’s Orlando, Miami and Key West – each with notable events and venues and gay friendly places to stay and attractions for play.

The West Coast gay getaways include the Pacific Northwest cities of Seattle, Portland and the entire Pacific Coast of California from Los Angeles & West Hollywood to San Diego.

What about the rest of the US? Las Vegas has been voted the #1 American City to Visit by LGBT travellers, and even more inland are Denver, Dallas & Houston.
